The Associate Account Manager - P&C supports the Account and Relationship Management team in new and renewal business implementation, and client servicing. In this high-touch customer service role, this position assists an Account and Relationship Manager and/or service team* in managing all aspects of a client’s account.


What you will do:

  • Provide dedicated support to assigned Account and Relationship Manager or service team as a part of an account management team.

    • Assist in completing the binding of coverage and issues policies as well as all service needs during the policy term.

    • Process new and renewal business implementations according to agency standards.

    • First point of contact with any client’s concerns, changes, or questions and will be empowered to resolve client issues.

    • Review and process policies and endorsements for accuracy of coverage, policy content and attached forms.

    • Receive requests, prepare and issue certificates of insurance.

    • Handle claim filing and any client billing questions or issues.

    • Participate in client meetings to meet customer service needs and to improve retention.

    • Make positive contributions to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to customers.

  • *If specific territory is not designated, the associate will assist and support the service team by answering phones and processing renewals, processing audits and endorsements, handling billing issues and other support for the Account Managers as needed or directed.

  • Other duties that may be assigned.

  • Overtime as required.


What you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree, preferred.

  • Travel 0% to 5% annually.

  • Previous P&C insurance experience, preferred

  • 0-2 years experience working in commercial lines in a P&C agency, or 1-2 year with GSAS required

  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Windows based software and experience with a Customer Relationship Management System.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to verbalize clearly and succinctly, to listen effectively, and to write professionally.

  • Personal attributes should include creativity, organization skills, enthusiasm, and motivation with a strong work ethic.

  • Highly skilled in personal relationship building to foster and build a strong trust relationship between GuideStone and its P&C prospects and clients.

  • Willing to obtain a P&C license in state of residence and have the ability to be P&C licensed in additional states as required.
