Job Summary
This position will support the back-office operations of GuideStone Advisors, an SEC registered investment advisor (RIA). The position will need knowledge of the detailed intricacies of industry technology, custodians and how to support advisors in serving their clients. This is a critical function for our overall success. This position’s focus will be on providing excellent back-office operations that is efficient, reliable and compliant in supporting and enabling the GuideStone Advisors team to continue to rapidly grow and expand our service offerings to faith-focused investors.
What You'll Do
- Support daily back-office operations, including:
Portfolio accounting and reconciliation of data across internal and external systems
Trade execution and portfolio management which includes rebalancing, tax optimizing trades, dollar-cost-averaging programs, and tax-loss-harvesting
Client onboarding, implementation, and maintenance
Model maintenance/assignments
Client reporting
Billing
Communication with third-party technology vendors.
Work closely with the whole Operations team in supporting and improving the back-office operations function that supports the advisors in delivering an excellent client experience.
- Identify process improvements and continually gain efficiencies.
- Support continual improvements in the compliance program through improvements to our back-office operations.
- Design, analyze and provide relevant operational reporting to management
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
5+ years in RIA operations
Knowledge and overall understanding of the RIA industry, compliance rules and regulations, risks and product suitability. Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Familiarity with Orion Advisor Technology or other back-office advisor technology. Familiarity with Schwab Advisor Services or other RIA custodial platforms.
Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting technologies a plus
Familiarity with variety of investments, particularly mutual funds, separately managed accounts and private alternatives.
Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong attention to details.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously or as a team and strong work ethic with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment.
