Position Description


The Shore Excursions Manager plays a critical role in the oversight of land operations, providing on-site management of daily shore excursion activities while working closely with the shore excursions Operations Manager. This position will oversee daily land coordination and logistics of motorcoaches, guides, and vendors while following shore excursion department guidelines. This on-board position is crucial in ensuring consistency and quality standards of excursions while offering exceptional customer service and creating amazing guest experiences.

   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES                                  
  • Manages daily shore excursion operations and guest service including: o Provide logistical and operational support for cruise excursions dailyo Directly manage logistics and all shore excursion-related needs o Provide excellent guest relations and customer service

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:o Daily reporting o Daily Office Hourso Daily operations communication with Operations Managero Daily communication with drivers, guides, and vendorso Delivery of Guest presentationso Organizing and executing operational functions as neededo Proprietary software management including entering tour and guest information, ticketing, and daily reporting.o Decision making authorization based on set guidelineso Strong logistical managemento Preparation of Turnover Notes

  • Use recovery steps to respond to others who are dissatisfied

  • Make hospitality standards an important part of day-to-day duties.

  • Follow company values in responding to others in work situations

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

    Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Excel, at expert level is required • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and efficiency• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills• Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly-changing environment• Must be detail-oriented and extremely organized• Must be willing to accept changes of direction in work and priorities with a positive attitude• Must be a proactive thinker and constantly think ahead to better serve our customers, both internal and external


  • At least 2 years’ experience in related/relevant role

  • Travel/tourism, hospitality and/or cruise industry experience strongly preferred


  • Position will require regular travel

  • Position is an onboard vessel-based position

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) – if applicable, and/or ability to obtain and maintain

  • Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident/incident testing
